Midwood Mania - THIS WEEKEND - May 1 & 2


Midwood Mania returns for its annual home tour and celebration May 1-2 in the Charlotte Plaza Midwood neighborhood.

Find inspiration in Plaza Midwood’s finest homes and gardens! The home and garden tour begins the evening of Friday, May 1 with a candlelight home tour beginning at 6 p.m. The tour continues on Satruday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. See the lineup of homes and gardens for 2009.
The fun continues Saturday with the Midwood Miles 5K Race, a pet parade, live music, fun activities for kids, and more. All Charlotte neighbors are invited to come out and enjoy this yearly treat.

Charlotte Tailgait Farmers Market Opens this Weekend, April 25th

Opening day for the 2009 Charlotte Tailgait Farmers Market is Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. at 100 West Park Ave. in South End. You won’t find resellers, chemicals, or pesticides here. Only local growers and producers, committed to sustainable agriculture and educated consumers.

MONA Day - Merry Oaks Neighborhood

MONA Day
The Merry Oaks neighborhood will celebrate its annual MONA Day on Saturday, April 18. This year’s activities will include:
A neighborhood-wide yard sale. A city permit is required - send $5 to Carol Herrington (1823 Arnold Drive) by April 1 to participate.
Adopt-a-creek walk. Join neighbors as they clean up litter around the neighborhood, starting at 9 a.m. at Greenway Bridge. Trash bags provided.
MONA Day Party at 2301 Arnold Drive. Bring an appetizer to share, BYOB. Contact Cate Martin at 704.488.4559 or cate1868@yahoo.com.

MONA Feb. Meeting Tonight

Merry Oaks Neighborhood Association meets this Thursday, Feb. 19, 7-9 p.m. at Merry Oaks School (enter off Draper Avenue) Media Center.

If you want to participate in the neighborhood yard sale on MONA Day (April 18) you can bring your $5 cash participant fee to the meeting for Carol Herrington.

Please consider bringing $10 MONA membership fee for 2009. If you are on a fixed income or have lost your job, your membership is $5. You may also pay later. Cash or check made out to MONA works. Include a sheet of paper with your name, email, phone, address and neighborhood interests.
